About this Add-on

FoxyProxy is a Firefox extension which automatically switches an internet connection across one or more proxy servers based on URL patterns. Put simply, FoxyProxy automates the manual process of editing Firefox's Connection Settings dialog. Proxy server switching occurs based on the loading URL and the switching rules you define.

Animated icons show you when a proxy is in use. Advanced logging shows you which proxies were used and when. QuickAdd makes it a snap to create new URL patterns on-the-fly. FoxyProxy is fully compatible with Portable Firefox, has better support for PAC files than Firefox itself, and is translated into more than 34 languages.

Since i'd patch to FF22 FoxyProxy blocks streams on twitch.tv. I havent change anything in it. When i deactivate it the streams works fine. Pls fix :(Update: I un- and installed it, now its fine. :))

I need to completely set proxy settings. This add-on only supports basic proxies, making it useless. I can get thunderbird online using its basic proxy controls, but it won't connect to my mailbox, only add-ons page. This addon didn't solve the problem

Good, but currently have a nasty bug: for some reason it disables FF built-in protection from bad redirects, which leads to memory-eating freezes. This happens even with "completely disable FoxyProxy" set in menu, as long as the addon itself is not disabled (then FF starts to report an endless redirect correctly).

About this Add-on

Proxy Selector lets you switch local proxies in Firefox.
It is a fork of Multiproxy Switch by McFred.

Proxies are stored in the file proxyselector.rdf inside the profile folder.

Right click on the button shows preferences and manage proxies.

Thanks Oleg_Sch for the fix in Version 0.80.7.

Attention: Since 0.92.00 I removed the code to manage a panel in old statusbar. 
If you want to show the button in the "addon bar" you must move it there using the standard customize of Firefox.

This is exactly what i needed. A proxy selector which changes from no proxy to my system proxy.... and back with click of a button :)

It doesn't provide an option to use Firefox's automatic proxy config URL, which is a must for those of us who rely on that option to browse the university's article catalog.
